Bagel chips, a snack you can buy in every grocery shop in the US, have never taken off in the UK. Granted, we don’t have the same history with bagels as our Americans friends but their popularity over here has definitely increased over the last few years. The good news is the homemade versions of crisp bagel chips are far more delicious than shop-bought ones and only take a matter of minutes to make, especially if you cheat with the dangerously good seasoning. I buy Everything Bagel Seasoning online (Amazon- deep sigh, but needs must)) but you could make a mix of your own if you prefer. The seasoning is a mix of sesame and poppy seeds and onion and garlic flakes. Slightly stale bagels are easier to slice thinly so leave them in the breadbin for a few days before attempting to slice.
