Caroline’s Story

After university I enrolled in a cookery course at Leith’s School of Food and Wine. From there I began catering for businesses and private clients in London. In 1996 I joined the cookery team at Good Housekeeping magazine and spent just under 3 years cooking and writing recipes. I left to become a freelance cookery writer and food stylist, working on a wide variety of editorials and advertising campaigns.

In 2003 I left London to settle in south west France and lived and worked in rural Gascony, still contributing recipes for House and Garden magazine while at the same time restoring and renovating crumbling old ruins. I returned to the UK and now live in Scotland.
